Orazio Bartolomeo MD
Dr. Bartolomeo is a board-certified physician who earned his medical degree from the University of Palermo in 1989.
While in Italy he worked for the Italian Red Cross as an emergency physician as well as an independent physician in a weight management clinic. He completed his family medicine residency at LaGrange Memorial Hospital and started working for Sherman Hospital as a primary care physician as well as an Immediate Care physician.
In 2003 Dr. Bartolomeo became an independent physician and opened his family medicine practice. Since then he has grown his practice by showing compassion and truly caring about all his patients and their well-being.
Dr. Bartolomeo continues to stay active in the medical field, he is the Medical Director at the Garlands of Barrington as well as a US Civil Surgeon. He also donates his time as a family medicine preceptor for 3rd year medical students at Rosalind Franklin University Chicago Medical School.
When Dr. Bartolomeo is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and close friends. He stays active by running and playing with his 2 dogs. He also has a passion for foreign cars, reading and the great outdoors.
Kelly Brawley, MS, PA-C
Kelly is a nationally certified Physician Assistant who specializes in family medicine.
She graduated summa cum laude with a major in Pre-med at Saint Mary’s University in Minnesota. Kelly then went on to earn her Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree at Rosalind Franklin University Chicago Medical School in 2002. Kelly has been in practice for 16 years and joined the Barrington Family Medicine team in February of 2017.
Kelly’s healthcare philosophy involves taking the time to listen to her patients and working with them to create and achieve their health goals. Kelly’s patients enjoy her friendly demeanor and caring personality. She strives to maintain ongoing relationships with all her patients and has proven to be a great asset to Dr. Bartolomeo’s team.
In her free time Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband, two children and friends. She enjoys traveling, cooking and stays active by playing volleyball. She has also recently taken up golfing again now that her children are older.
Sara Brubacher, APN
Sara is the newest member of our team, bringing many years of experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse to her new role within Dr. Bartolomeo’s practice.
Sara received her Master’s Degree in Nursing from Rush University in 2002 and certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Northern Illinois University in 2013.
Her passion lies in caring for older adults and she has worked at several nursing facilities in the area before she joined Dr. Bartolomeo’s team over at the Garlands of Barrington Wellness Center.
Her patients appreciate her compassion and her warm, welcoming and easy-going personality. She enjoys building relationships with her patients and treats them like family. Sara believes that providing excellent care starts with good listening, and she strives to make sure that her patients feel heard and understood.
When Sara is not working she enjoys spending time with her husband, three children and friends. She also enjoys cooking and being involved with her church. She is happy to be part of the Barrington Family Medicine team, carrying on the tradition of excellence in healthcare.
